本州から記載され、今のところ日本固有種。マダケやモウソウチクなどのタケ類の葉に生息するが、その食性など詳しい生態は不明。

This species was described from Honshu and is currently endemic to Japan. It inhabits the leaves of bamboo species, including Phyllostachys bambusoides and P. edulis, but its feeding habits and detailed ecology remain unknown.
